GAA announces football league refixes after storm of postponed matches last weekend
THE GAA has confirmed match details for five football league games which were postponed last weekend due to stormy weather conditions.
The fixtures have been scheduled for next weekend March 5-6, where there was a gap in the football league schedule, but that means a hectic month of action is set for the counties concerned.
Saturday’s matches will see Westmeath take on Longford and Fermanagh take on Laois in Division 3, with the quartet currently occupying the fourth to seventh positions in that division.
On Sunday, Galway will aim to boost their Division Two promotion prospects after three successive wins by hosting an Offaly side who are still in search of their first victory.
There will also be action in Division 4 with Tipperary traveling to Wexford and Sligo hosting league leaders Cavan.
