NFL linebacker turns his love of fantastic card games into a new venture in Westlake Village

WESTLAKE VILLAGE – NFL linebacker Cassius Marsh Sr. recently celebrated the opening of his trading card store, Unlimited Cash Cards. The store offers cards for popular games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokmon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! as well as football and basketball cards.

Marsh’s interest in strategy card games began when he started collecting Pokémon cards around the age of 7. Marsh remembers telling his mother that I needed to upgrade my Wartortle to Blastoise.

These days, the former UCLA Bruin takes pride in their card collections, but that hasn’t always been the case. Store manager and 16-year friend of Marsh’s friend Nick Nugwynne didn’t even know Marsh had played Magic: The Gathering before graduation.

He was a bit of a closet nerd about it, but once he got out and told us it was really cool to see how much he knew about the product and the game and how good the game was. is really complicated to play, said Nugwynne.

Marsh isn’t the only NFL player to play strategic card games.

I’ve had a few guys who are actually in Magic: The Gathering. Doug Baldwin, a former teammate of mine, we play a few games together, said Marsh.
