Warren County COVID update September 30, reports of exposures at bingo rally


WARREN COUNTY, NY (NEWS10) – Warren County Health Services were not aware of any new cases from September 21-28 BINGO rallies at VFW in Queensbury on Thursday by someone with COVID who attended.

A notice was issued by the Warren County NY COVID-19 Response and Business Continuity to its residents on Wednesday.

Warren County Health Services Reports 29 additional COVID cases, starting Thursday with nine recoveries, which the health services monitor 205 active cases, 194 of them involving mild illness. Eleven are hospitalized, five more than Wednesday, with a in critical condition and Ten others with moderate illness.

All of Thursday’s new cases involved the community spread of COVID-19. Four involved people who had been on the campus of the Glens Falls and Queensbury school districts.

New cases of COVID in recent days continue to come from workplace exposures, home exposures, out-of-state travel and sports practices among young people.

Seventeen (17) of Thursday’s cases involved people who had been fully vaccinated. Cumulatively from Thursday, 453 of 43 361 Fully vaccinated Warren County residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

Nowadays, 425 of 453 had a mild illness, while 17 became moderately ill, two seriously ill and a seriously ill before recovering. Eight deceased, all elderly with serious health problems, five of them in a nursing home.

Warren County Health Departments will be holding the following free COVID-19 immunization clinics open to the public aged 12 and older in the coming days. Registration links can be found by visiting the Warren County COVID Hub webpage.

  • Tuesday, October 5, first dose clinic in the Glens Falls Middle School cafeteria, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. open to the public. Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines available.
  • Tuesday, October 5 at Warren County Civic Center Social Services Building, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., courtesy of Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna.
  • Tuesday, October 12 First Dose / Second Dose Clinic, Warren County Municipal Center COVID-19 Testing Facility 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna offered.
